We enjoyed the virtual Roman lessons a lot and doing the worksheets was great fun because we learnt our age in Roman numerals. It was very fun to learn about how they wrote and, even though we use other numbers these days, Roman numerals are still known and taught at school. In the dark skies session, we found out why constellations are given their name and how some are linked to the Roman Gods. We were also interested to know what a black sky actually is and could not believe what the Romans would have seen.
Our favourite sessions were the bath house and Binchester sessions. We learnt how people could live above bath houses and the different zones. It would have been so different living in the Roman time.
