At Wolsingham Primary School, we have house teams – Red, Blue, Yellow and Green. Every child who attends the school and teacher / teaching assistant who works in the school is allocated a team and throughout the year, each team competes to win the house cup. Our team captains are Year 6 pupils, who are appointed by the rest of the members of their team, following a speech from each candidate and a democratic vote.
Each half term team events are organised with a variety of themes for the children to compete in. Points are allocated depending upon where each team places in each event. Children can also win points for their team by winning Dojo VIP and Star of the Week awards each week, as well as completing times tables challenges and Spelling Shed games. The cup is awarded at the end of each half term to the winning team and then the points are archived towards the end of year competition and reset ready for the start of the next half term.
