The children had lots of fun reading the story of The Three Billy Goats Gruff and then used the story in their play. The acted out the story with puppets, using key phrases such as, “Who’s that trip trapping over my bridge?” as they retold the story with their friends. They were set the challenge of building a bridge from Lego that would be strong enough for the goats to cross. Then when they went outside they used the large scale construction materials to explore making bridges.
