This term, Class 5 are studying ‘Sound’. This week we led an investigation into how the length of string affects how far sound can travel. We found it remarkable that we could hear each other so clearly through the string because the sound waves are travelling alone a solid. We also found that it was much clearer when the string was shorter because it has a shorter distance to travel! Thank you, Willow for taking some photos of us experimenting with them!
