Story Train

This morning, Class 5 and 6 welcomed the ‘Story Train’ project into school to do a workshop celebrating the 200th anniversary of the passenger steam train. They listened to the impact of having railways and discussed their own experiences of trains. The classes then went on to do some creative writing based on trains and the railway. They produced free verse poetry, kennings and cinquain poetry as well as stories and diary recounts. They presented their writing on bunting which will be displayed on the 4th and 5th July in St Thomas’ Hall, Stanhope.
