Today in science, we were investigating how to separate different mixtures of solids and liquids. We saw if we could separate salt and water, pasta and salt, rice and paper clips and sand and water. To do the pasta and salt, you just needed to have a bowl with a sieve on top. Next, you put the salt and pasta on the sieve and sieve it, this will mean the salt is now in the bowl with the pasta on top of the sieve. Can you think of any ways you could separate the other materials?
