This week, Class 5 have started their unit on Percentages. To help us understand what a percentage is, we used grids with a hundred squares on them to identify percentages around us. We learnt that percent means ‘out of 100’ and how we can write this as a fraction too. Later, we will be then thinking about how percentages can also be equivalent to decimals.
