Minibeasts
As part of our topic ‘How does your Garden Grow?’ we have been looking at minibeasts this week. We started by going out into the wildlife garden and searching for minibeasts. We found ants, spiders, ladybirds, slugs, snails, worms, woodlice and millipedes. The children handled the creatures carefully and made sure they put them back where they found them. Then Mrs Rogers brought in her bee collection and the children learnt about different types of bee and why bees are important. The children learnt lots of interesting facts about bees and learnt how to draw bees. They made bees from paper plates and finished off the week learning about the lifecycle of a butterfly.
