To get us started with our History topic this term, we played the Empire Game. We nominated an Emperor to make decisions about which country to invade or trade with depending on their resources. Town Councils were able to suggest whether they thought we should invade or trade with them and two advisors provided their opinions based on this to the Emperor. We had great fun understanding why a civilization would grow an empire and the tricky decisions involved in the process.
