During the longest day of the year, and as part of Make Music Day 2019, Durham Music will celebrate music making country wide by enabling every young musician within Durham and Darlington to perform – on one day! In schools, in the playground, at home or on the concert platform, County Durham and Darlington will come alive with music! Make Music Day is the world’s largest annual music festival with events in more than 800 cities across 12o countries.
As part of the celebrations, Wolsingham Primary has organised for our musicians to record their hard work and up load them to our school website for everyone to view. The whole school will also participate in singing the school song and some children have learned how to use sign language to perform the song ‘Dancing in the Street’, which will also be recorded and up loaded on Friday. They will also be send to Durham Music Services to share nationwide across the day. Over 17,500 performers are taking part in the world’s biggest musical celebration so take a look at the wonderful talent of our children.
