Funding for an additional part time Teaching Assistant to support Read Write Inc / Fresh Start (Reception to Year 6) and support intervention groups in Reading, language, motor skills and social programmes across KS1. In class extra support for Y1 and 2 children (qualified teacher x 0.2). 15 x iPads stimulate real life contexts for writing. Additional Accelerated Reader Licences. After School Booster and study aids Y2 and Y6 Curriculum support resources (to support writing). Subsidisation of music lessons and residential visits.
Impact of Pupil Premium Funding
At KS2 – 100% of disadvantaged pupils achieved the expected level, in reading, grammar, punctuation and spelling (GPS) and mathematics, while 50% achieved above the expected level in reading, 66.7% in mathematics (16.7% achieving at Level 6) and 33% in grammar, punctuation and spelling. Disadvantaged pupils achievement exceeded that of Non-disadvantaged pupils in reading at Level 4 and Grammar, punctuation and spelling at Level 4, Level 5 and Level 6. In Year 5, progress made by disadvantaged pupils since KS1 was above national expectations in reading. In Year 4, progress made by disadvantaged pupils was in line with or above national expectations in all areas. In Year 3, progress made by disadvantaged pupils was in line with or above non-disadvantaged pupils and national expectations in all areas. At KS1, 100% of disadvantaged pupils achieved the expected level in reading. APS of disadvantaged pupils at KS1 was above the national average (2013) in reading, writing and maths. In Year 1, 66% of disadvantaged pupils achieved the expected standard in phonic screening and 50% of disadvantaged pupils achieved the expected standard in phonic screening re-takes.
